About the Web Site

How can I help or contribute?

All web sites are only as good as their content! This site desperately needs more articles and pictures.

If you have any interesting photographs send them to me. The best web sites have lots of visual interest. Paper prints (or better) scanned pictures will be fine together with a brief description of the event / route / person.

Ideas

The other thing we need is ideas to make the site better / more useful / more entertaining / more inter-active – whatever. So send me an e-mail, snail-mail or ‘phone if…

…there are other sites we should link to.
…there are additional information pages we should have on the site
…there is something you could contribute yourself on a regular or occasional basis.
…there is a better way of doing something we already do.
…you can come up with anything that would help to put the site closer to the centre of club activities.

E-mail the with articles, pictures and comments please.

Web Browsers

The Web has developed a great deal since it was first invented in 1989. The development of Web design standards is managed by the World Wide Web Consortium. Web browsers vary greatly in their abilities to accurately display modern web sites.

This web site displays best in modern web browsers; specifically Mozilla Firefox 2 (free and produces the best results) or Internet Explorer 7 (also free but still struggling to reflect current Web standards). If you use an older web browser, in particular Internet Explorer 5.5 and earlier, you may not see some of the more advanced features.

The left-hand menu should appear as a series of blue blocks, if it doesn't you may need to activate javascript in your web browser. Contact me if you are having problems.

Credits

Many thanks are due to Clive Wrigley for all his work in the initial development and maintenance of the web site.
